Two major ones involve things that I've talked about in the past. So do y'all remember the parable of the Weeds I said last week? So guess what happened! We were there for the last day on tuesday. We were about to leave and try to figure out how to ask if they want to take the lessons. Right then the grandma comes up to us and asks if we were later-day saints. We said yes. She asked if we had a youth program. We said yes. And then she started Praising God and saying that we were an answer to her prayers! She has a troubled granddaughter who needs our help. So she told us to start meeting with the family to fix the situation. She actually isn't troubled, they just hate her. But it was a miracle and an answer to her prayers and our prayers. It was simply amazing.Out here in the NRM aka the best mission in the entire world, it is amazing! We had some amazing things this week! Some huge miracles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELLO ARIZION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So How are Y'all doing? I'm genuinely curious about all you guys back home.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and others)
That was on tuesday. Also on tuesday we got to have Elder Williams with us because he is going eastside to Elko and he needed a place to stay. So that was super fun having him around for the night! I got to see a lot of missionaries at the transfer area! So turns out Elder Lyman, my first companion is a zone leader now! Crazy!
The other big miracle happened also on tuesday. We have been working with the turners for a long time. Devon and her daughter have already been baptized. Her husband John has been there for every lesson and we have asked him over and over again if he wanted to be baptized and he has always said no. But on tuesday we half-jokingly asked him why he isn't baptized and he said that he has been thinking about it a lot and said that he wants to be! Then I asked him about June 4th as the date and he said yes. Then he told us how what he is doing isn't working out, so maybe what we're doing will work out. He is super excited to take the lessons himself and get everything done and he's excited to be "mormonized". We are super excited for him!
Being out here is great! So many good things happen! I LOVE being a missionary!Yesterday I got to skype my family and that was pretty dang awesome! It was super cool to see them for the first time since January! Mothers day is really a great day!!! I got to see some friends and my cousin too. Just before they leave on their missions. Two years isn't really a long time. We only get that time to serve the Lord with all our ability. I'm glad I can do it here in the NRM.
I saw this in my studies the other day. As I've lived my life treating it like that it's true, I have seen the wonders first hand!
5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
