I don't even know what week it is--August 29th

So this week we had some cool things happen! We had zone conference which is always an AWESOME experience! We saw a mantis eating another mantis. Which was super cool! We met with some awesome people out here!

We have been contacting tons and tons of referrals! The people here are trying to help us out in any way they can. It is kinda working? The weeks and days are starting to blend together out here. I am forgetting who my companion was when certain things happen or I think of them. It's really weird!

At zone conference we were talking all about how we have to go out and find the Pineapples! Because pineapples are rare in the desert. So we have to go out and find those who are prepared to receive the gospel! But sometimes people need to make contact with the church multiple times before they are ready. They call it the rule of 7. Maybe someone you see is a 1 or a 3. And we are to help them get a little higher. But the pineapples are the ones who are 7's or higher.

We are out here trying to find them! I have faith that we will

This week I have had a very intense desire to read the book of mormon. I know what it means to feast upon the words of Christ. I saw and was hungered. I have been hungered all this week for the works of Christ. The book of Mormon is true! There is no doubt in my mind! Out here on the mission we have a designated time every day to read, And all of y'all back home should try to do the same. Have a time set apart for studying. It will make it so much easier to read when you have a time for it! Read it everyday and you will see the changes that happen in your life! I know what happens when people read it all the time. There is good things in store for each of you!

I love all y'all and each y'all!

7 Months---August 22nd

So this week was good! Some cool things happened!

But we didn't get a lot of teaching done this week. It was an off week with the mines and such. But it's okay! We are doing our best out here and that is what matters! We have been getting to know the ward very well and and they are trusting us more and more! I love Spring Creek !!!!!!!!!!!

This week on monday we had a missionary cookoff! And we won with CHICKEN AND WAFFLES. We fried our own chicken! It was super good food! Really good!

We spent a lot of time knocking on doors this week! We have zone conference this next week and I am super excited for that!

Elder Bentti and I went on exchanges on friday! It was a blast! We biked down sage brush hills and found a praying mantis!
And we also got to go to Lamolie canyon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHMYGOSH THERE ARE ACTUALLY TREES THERE. REAL TREES. So that was pretty sweet! I really liked that!!!!!! Elder Gailey and I have been doing a lot of walking in our area. We have been finding a lot of members and meeting them on accident haha. Which is super good for us! Because it shows them that we are trying

We helped two people move this week too! One of them were the sister missionaries. So we now know where all the missionaries in Spring creek live? This week has been really good!

At night here you can see soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can see the milky way out here!!!!!!!!!!!! And y'all know me, I love the stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a psalm that talks about the stars. Psalms is the best book ever. Such good stuff in there!

But psalm 19:1-3 says
"The heavens declare the glory of God: and the firmament sheweth his handywork .
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard."

The stars in the sky are the evidence of God and what he has done for us. Everything around us are evidence too! I have a challenge for each of y'all that read this email. Go out at night. Go to a place where you can see the stars. And I don't mean your back yard. I mean out in the countryside. Where you can see more than the big dipper and Orion. Do that and look up into the stars. And just think about God. Think about what he has done for us and what he has done for you. Think about everything in your life that has come from him. We may not have much work right now up here, but I can spend a long time thanking God for what he's done for me. And I know each of you can too. So please go do that. For me. For God. For the savior.  And for yourself. It'll help. I promise!

I love all y'all and each y'all!

Pictures--August 15, 2016

Howdy y'all!!

So we had lots of fun this week!
We decided that the best things for us to do right now is to go and tract out our entire area! Tracting!!! Lots of fun!! Let me tell ya! We have really enjoyed being out here!

We have found two more investigators! Tracting actually works out here??? Surprising since they said that we would never use it in the MTC. They LIED TO US! But oh well haha. Lots of fun out here though!! I really enjoy this area too! Lots of great stuff.

I got to hold a pig this week!! On exchanges too! Went on exchanges too! With Elder Thomas, who this is also his first transfer too! So that was a lot of fun. We have been walking for many many hours a day now. So I wear a hat now while out in the world. It is a really nice hat that people like a lot. They think it looks cool!

But this week we definitely saw the hand of the Lord guiding us. Just certain things happened in the right order that they all worked out!

Elder Gailey is a stud!! He is so ready to do work out here! Him and I are working together really well out here! Trying to figure out how to run an eastside area! Good times, good times.

Not much super exciting happened this week? Just a lot of knocking on a bunch of doors in the sun! The nice thing about being from Arizion is that its a lot cooler for us out here!

I love all y'all and Each y'all

Deep in the Creek--Aug. 8, 2016

Dudes this week was Pretty Great!!!! Between two new investigators and a freak Monsoon is was a good week!!!!!!!!!!!
So we got a little wet this week because of the random monsoon that happened? We woke up and it was super cloudy and then the storm slowly rolled into town from Elko! We had to go back home and get some jackets because it was so intense! It was like bullets coming down from the sky!!!!! Craziness!!!

But it was all super good!!

So on tuesday we finally caught this guy named Joel and we got to sit down for about an hour with him and talk to him about the gospel! He was super nice and asked a lot of questions. he didn't come to church like he said he would, but that's okay

And then we kinda ran out of ideas so we decided to start knocking on doors in out our area. Then we delayed it a few days because I was sick, But then we actually did it yesterday and tracted into this guy named Nick and he was super interested. We tried to do a blessing contact and his kid answered the door and we kinda yelled so that he would hear us over the TV and then he told us to come in and started asking us what the mission was and why we do it and all this stuff! We taught him for about an hour and spent half of that time in his doorway talking to him before he realized and he had us sit down. We are going back on tuesday to talk to him some more. We are super super excited!! He used to be married to a less active. I felt impressed to ask him what makes him happy right now. And then he said nothing and described to us how his life stinks right now! So we were able to talk about how this message that we share will bless his life.

These are the first two new investigators we have had since I've been here. We are very excited for this area!!!

I love the mission and the opportunities it gives us!!

I love y'all!!

I don't know what week it is....August 1, 2016

So I am training this transfer!!!!!!!!!!! His name is Elder Gailey and he is from Gilbert Ariziona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that is a little odd? We live like 20 minutes apart....

But he is super awesome and out here ready and willing to do the work and do whatever it takes! Which right now it takes a lot!! But I love the work out here! I love my companion!! I love doing everything a missionary does!!

We have a lot of appointments set up for this week, so I am excited to see how it goes!!

We saw a lot of miracles of finding people. And I know that they only came from being exactly obedient! We are doing our best to be who we are supposed to be! I love Christ and all he has done for me.

If anyone back home need help bucking hay, I'm really good at that btw. So fences, hay, feeding cows and horses, all that good stuff!

Oh and I got a new car now. A 2016 Toyota corolla! Its nice to have!

In Gospel Principles this week we talked about Agency, and with my comp being fresh from the MTC I think about it a lot. My branch president said that Agency is choosing to do righteousness. Because when we chose otherwise we give up our agency. I know that as we strive to do right, we shall see the blessings! We will see the miracles!

Something that we have been stressing is CPR. Or rather Spiritual CPR. Church, Pray, Read. When we do those things, blessings come and we stay active in the gospel. When we pray we get to comunicate with our Father In Heaven, and it also refines our studying of the gospel. When we read we can increase our faith and learn what we are supposed to be doing! And when we go to church we learn even more and get to hear other witnesses of the truth. Will all of y'all do that? Will y'all commit to go to church every week and study and pray every day?

I promise that as you do, you will see the hand of the Lord in your life, and your faith increase so much!

I love all y'al and each y'all!
